Portfolio
My name is Abby Manor, I am currently 18, and I love to paint, draw, craft, and create anything that has to do with art. I have been painting with oils since I was nine years old, and have been drawing my whole life.
In these past years, I have taught fifteen hours of art lessons, and have volunteered at the Nashville Public Library in the Puppet program over 100 hours performing, repairing puppets and set pieces, etc. I have sold many paintings in local stores and personal commissions. I've performed three live paintings in front of an audience and have been involved in set design for several musical theater productions. I have entered two oil paintings and two charcoal drawings in the TN State Fair that have won two first place awards, second, and a third place prize. I have also been awarded several Gold Keys, Silver Keys and several Honorable Mentions from the Middle Tennessee Scholastic Art and Writing Awards.
My favorite subject to draw and paint are people because each subject is different, and I like to capture each person’s unique characteristics. I also enjoy drawing and painting people because I love a good challenge. My most current project has been painting my way to Europe! I was able to go on a summer trip to Italy, Switzerland and France, and I painted portraits in order to pay for it!
